Mobile LiDAR

LiDAR, which stands for Light Detection and Ranging, which uses light in the form of a pulsed laser to measure ranges (variable distances). The equipment fires rapid pulses of laser light, up to a million pulses (points) per second. A sensor on the equipment measures the amount of time it takes for each pulse to bounce back.

HC Robotics specializes in design and manufacture of Mobile Mapping Systems by integrating state-of-the-art LiDAR Technology, IMU, GPS
positional system, many more sensors and Software. The Mobile Mapping system creates accurate 3D Models by using geo-referenced data points called Point Cloud Data (PCD). The customized mapping system is best suited for street/road surveys by capturing voluminous data at high speed.

LiDAR technology is combined with positional equipment and these geo-referenced data points can be used to create accurate digital elevation/terrain models. LiDAR technology is instrumental in Engineering for mapping out and building roads, inspecting buildings for defects, and evaluating coastal erosion or landslide hazards.

HC Robotics’ LiDAR system is a user economical solution for corridor mapping, engineering and drastically reduces requirement for physical
walkout survey. This is imperative for maintenance and mapping of telecom, railway systems, utilities, oil and gas and many other projects.
Airborne laser mapping offers lower field operation costs compared to traditional survey methods. The cost to produce the data is significantly less than other forms of traditional topographic data collection making it an attractive technology for a variety of survey applications and data end-users requiring low cost, high-density, high accuracy geo-referenced digital elevation data.
